A two-bedroom on the sixth floor at the foot of Avenida Las Palmas, with two balconies that turn the corner — one off the living room, one off the second bedroom — looking over a green ravine on one side and the city and the mountains on the other. Inside, warm wood-slat walls run the length of the living room, the kitchen has an island and a breakfast bar, and the dining table sits four. Two bathrooms, one of them off the main bedroom. There is a washer and dryer in the unit, a desk to work from, portable air conditioning, and the building carries a pool, a gym, covered parking and 24-hour security. Centro Comercial San Diego is at the bottom of the hill and El Poblado is a few minutes down the avenue.

Living here

San Diego is where the flat city ends and the mountain begins. The mall is a walk downhill for the supermarket and the cinema; Avenida Las Palmas starts at the door and climbs to Rionegro and the airport; Provenza and El Poblado are a few minutes the other way. Home is six floors up on the corner, with two balconies — one off the living room, one off the second bedroom — the wooded ravine on one side and the valley on the other, and a pool and a gym downstairs for the days you do not go anywhere.
